Store Clerk (Kenmore)

We are seeking a friendly and service-oriented Store Clerk to join our team! As a Chenez’s Popcorn Store Clerk, you will assist customers with their shopping needs and ensure an excellent shopping experience. Responsibilities may include working the register, giving out samples, stocking shelves, processing inventory, and maintaining the store’s appearance. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service and knowledge of cash register operation. We are hiring for positions at our new Kenmore location 2956 Delaware Ave, Kenmore, NY which will be opening April 2024. Part time hours can vary between 10-20 each week.

  • Greet each customer with a smile and provide assistance while they are shopping
  • Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures.
  • Work at a register to ring up customer sales.
  • Collect payments by cash and credit card
  • Balance register at end of shift
  • Issue receipts to customers
  • Take added responsibility for stocking, inventory, and store maintenance.
  • Provide samples of popcorn to customers.
  • Develop and maintain solid product knowledge in order to best help customers with their selections.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
  • Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
  • Willingness to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly and accurately work a register
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule at 2 locations.
